This year, the summer weather has been glorious and many boat owners have been very active during this time. Here are some of the recent examples of the hard work and care put in by the boat owners throughout the past few weeks.
Almost exactly one year post arrival to the Ship & Anchor moorings at Ford, MV Drifter was lifted out of the water today (2nd July 2025) for annual cleaning, anti-fouling, anode change and maintenance adding more activity to our busy boatyard. Dave and Curly plan to complete the work quickly and get the vessel back in the water with minimal delay.
Another lovely new vessel “Arian” arrived at our moorings on 16th June 2025 relocating from the river Hamble to the river Arun and proud new owner Rob has many plans for his new vessel operating from Ford. Securely tied alongside one of our newest pontoons Rob is well pleased with his new moorings.
Another vessel already at our moorings in Ford benefitted from a new engine being fitted recently. No more breakdowns for proud owner Mark who can now focus on Fishing rather than engine repairs. May be some new ropes next Mark?
Finally with a good working engine Lloyd, Vanessa and “Chid” got out for a spin on the river Arun on such a beautiful English summer’s day.
After many weeks of hard work by experienced skipper John, MV Hoppy III is looking great. Transformed and almost ready for re-launch. Hoppy III is a real credit to her proud owner who will be pleased to get afloat again soon.
Recently qualified skipper Adriana departing competently from our moorings after enjoying a relaxing home-cooked meal in the Ship & Anchor Pub, dating from 1664 tucked away in it’s historical site at Ford.
