On 2nd January 2026, we were pleased to welcome John, a volunteer from RNLI Littlehampton, to The Ship & Anchor to count the contents of our collection box.

Thanks to the kindness of our customers, a total of £75.30 was raised.

John now aged 82, was rescued by the lifeboat 60 years ago and has generously given his time as a volunteer ever since. It was a real pleasure to have him visit us and share his story.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, your continued support means a great deal and helps the lifeboat service continue its vital work.

We look forward to seeing you again soon, John and hopefully again next year at The Ship & Anchor, if not before.
